Digital vehicle inspection app for auto repair shops

A digital vehicle inspection app lets a technician check a car on a phone or tablet, mark each item green, yellow or red, attach photos and measurements, and send the results to the customer as a link. In ORAVA Auto, inspections start from a template, yellow and red items can be added to the estimate as jobs, and the customer opens the report in a web browser — no app needed. Inspections are included in the ORAVA Auto plan: $99 a month or $990 a year, unlimited users, a 14-day free trial and no contract.

How an inspection works in ORAVA

The technician works through the car item by item, on the phone in their pocket or a tablet on the bench:

  • Start from a template. Use the default 20-point template or build your own templates for the checks your shop actually does.
  • Mark every item. Each item is Green, Yellow, Red or Not checked, so the report never pretends something was looked at when it was not.
  • Add photos and measurements. Attach up to six photos per item, plus measurements and notes, so the finding speaks for itself.
  • Share it by link. Send the inspection to the customer as a link that opens in the browser, and see on your side when the customer viewed it.

From a red item to an approved job

An inspection is only useful if it turns into work. In ORAVA, any item marked yellow or red can be pushed onto the estimate as a job, ready for its labor and parts lines. You then text the estimate, and the customer approves or declines each job and signs with a finger on the phone.

Work the customer declines gets an automatic follow-up text later, so a yellow item today can become a booked visit next month.

Plain-language explanations, approved by your shop

Technicians write for technicians. When a finding needs explaining, ORAVA can draft a short plain-language explanation for the customer. It is written only from what the technician entered on the inspection, and it is shown to the customer only after someone at your shop approves it. You can also leave it off and send the inspection as the technician wrote it.

Why inspect digitally

A photo of a worn part says more than a line on a paper checklist, and the customer can look at it from home instead of standing at the counter. The colors make the priorities clear: red needs attention, yellow is coming up, green is fine. And the shop keeps a record of what was checked, item by item, with the photos that go with it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the customer need an app to see the inspection?

No. The inspection opens from a link in the phone's web browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

How many photos can I add?

Up to six photos per inspection item, along with measurements and notes.

Can I build my own inspection checklist?

Yes. ORAVA comes with a default 20-point template, and you can create custom templates for the inspections your shop does.

Can I tell whether the customer looked at it?

Yes. After you share an inspection, ORAVA shows when the customer viewed it.

Does the AI send anything to my customers on its own?

No. An AI explanation is a draft written only from what the technician entered. The customer sees it only after someone at your shop approves it.

Which devices does it run on?

ORAVA has apps for iPhone and Android and also runs in any web browser, so technicians can inspect on a phone or a tablet.

Who makes ORAVA?

ORAVA is made by Aquila & Priscilla LLC, an independent software company in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey.
